Linda Maylish | Weavings of Anansi | Gilded Etching

In the “Weavings of Anansi” I was interested in the symbol of the spider, which occurs in motifs used in several African kingdoms Anansi being the name used in Ghana. I used this motif in the creation of the necklace that frames the portrait, once again in the effort to bring to light the extraordinary in ordinary experiences.
