Red Lake: then it was silent |

I wanted to show the loss after the Red Lake School shootings by painting one bell for each death.
The Pow Wow leg bells are arranged on an empty school desk.
I am trying to find universal truths in the common place and create visual poems to put order or meaning into the experience of living. For my expressions I use the language of art: color and texture dominate my paintings as I use them to describe emotions; Line and shape lead the narrative composition and space is manipulated for intellectual impact.
