| The Minneapolis Foundation exhibition, A Celebration of Minnesota’s Artists: 90th Anniversary Collection, spans Minnesota art history from 1915-2005. The artists for this exhibit were chosen as representatives for the decade in which they made some of their most significant artworks as well as for their contribution to the history of art in Minnesota. Beginning with the half decade of 1915-1920, and ending with the current half decade of 2000-2005, we are honored to have the opportunity to exhibit artwork by some of the foremost Minnesota artists of the last 90 years. This is a unique exhibit in that these artworks have never been shown together, with pieces collected from local museum archives, private collections, galleries, corporate collections, and the artists themselves.We hope you enjoy this special anniversary exhibition, celebrating the rich history of art in Minnesota. |
